Started the day at church at Bel Air’s new 901 service. It’s casual and interactive- tweet your praises and prayer requests live to the big screen. I’m digging it. How faith and poker go together I’m still trying to figure out (that’s a longer blog post for later).
Then had lunch with a couple friends at Kay & Dave’s Cantina in Brentwood. Last time we were there, Adam Sandler was sitting at the next table with his wife, kid, and nanny. No celebrity sitings this time.
Got home and had a little inkling to play poker. Wasn’t planning to play after yesterday’s big win, but I did anyway with mixed results. Finished 6th in a 24 dollar s&g for $120 and 8th in a 12 dollar s&g for $33. Tried a couple bigger tourneys but I think I was too impatient but ended up breaking even for the day. I figure that’s good progress and I’m continuing to learn the nuances of the game.
We’ll see what happens at Monday night poker tomorrow with the guys.
